Count Your Blessing

Made this using a light print cardstock as the base of my card.
The Cross is made using an embossing folder from Darice.  I sponged melon and blue ink on to it, to bring out the words more.  The heart is from Our Daily Bread Designs - the Heart & Soul Paper Collection...which is cut out using the ODBD Ornate Hearts Die.  The "Count your blessings" stamp is ODBD Blessings stamp set & the "Let Your Light Shine!" is from the ODBD Spread Light stamp set.

Our Daily Bread Designs Blog has been celebrating their 6th Anniversary this month.
This is for the 4th anniversary challenge...which is "To have fun with ODBD stamps".

Love is the Thread

Made this using Our Daily Bread Designs.
I used the Heart & Soul Paper Collection for the outer edge of my card....and I used the Blooming Gardens Paper Collection to make my quilted pattern. Also used stamp sets Rocking Chair and Sewn With Love.  I cut the rocking chair out with the Rocking Chair Die.  I colored the rocking chair in with Promarkers, and attached it with 3D foam.   I stamped on the sentiment at an angle because I liked the way it looked.  I used a black marker to make the stitching look around the quilt.  Then added stick on green pearls to each of the four corners.

Our Daily Bread Designs Blog has been celebrating their 6th Anniversary this month.
This is for the 4th week challenge...which is "To have fun with ODBD stamps".
I choose the Rocking Chair and quilted pattern because I am a sewer.

Feeling Sketchy Inspiration Post

Hi, Debbie here - and it's my turn to do the Inspiration Post for Feeling Sketchy.
I have used this months Scrapbook Layout for my project.

Here is the layout:
Here is my mine:

I have used an old photo of our daughter Feather.  In this picture she is 3 years old (she is now 21 years old.)    I have always loved this picture of her.  She looks so serene in this picture and has her hands folder together like she is praying.   I have placed different sized clear flourishes around it...and added two paper flowers that I made using Astrid's February 5th Inspiration Post.
I used three different papers for the squares on the top and bottom - and then added her name in the middle of them with stick on letters.   The background of my layout is a pinkish shaded shiny patterned cardstock.    My project doesn't look exactly like the layout sketch, but that's the fun thing about being creative, and making your project "your's".

I would also like to share a technique that I like to do.
It's called "Shaving Cream Technique".
It's kind of messy to do - but it's fun :-)
And the patterns you create are unique and different each time.
Here are pictures that shows the products and steps to it:
(I just used the colors Crimson and Green)
Next - put the shaving cream into the plate:
Note: I did not have much shaving cream left in the can, so it came out a little more runny and had bubbles...but it still worked good.
Swirl it around:
Lay your cardstock on it and press it down good:
Then take it off and wipe it off good with a paper towel - allow to dry:
This is what I ended up with:

Here is a card that I made with this.  I cut out one large heart and 5 small hearts.

I hope this has inspired you to be creative and try doing different techniques.

Thinking Of You

Made this "thinking of you" card using two different Cricut Cartridges....Everyday Pop-Up Cards & Spring Cottage.    I sponged blue ink on to the base of my card to create a sky look.  All my cricut cuts were done on white cardstock.....and then I colored everything in with Promarkers.   The birds and the branches were cut using the Spring Cottage cartridge & the flower box was cut using the Everyday Pop-Up Cards cartridge.   I then stamped on the "thinking of you"....and the nest with eggs is a 3D sticker.  I also added Liquid Glass for the eyes of the birds, and also for the center of the two yellow flowers.

You blow me away.....

I saw a card on Pinterest that had a hair dryer and these words that I thought was just so cute.
Mine looks a lot different than the card I saw...but I knew I wanted to make one like it.
I used the Cricut Cartridge "Girl's Makeup Party" to cut out the hair dryer.
I used clear flourishes for the "heat".
The background paper and cardstock I used are from CTMH Lollydoodle paper pack.
I printed the words out and distressed the edges a little, along with the edges of the cardstock that I put the words on.  I also attached a few gems to it.

Mixed Media Project

Made this project on canvas using a variety of items, Gesso, and spray paint.
This is the first time I ever used Gesso...I need practice :(
I ended up with several cracks in it.

Here is a picture of the items I glued onto my canvas:
Here is a picture with the Gesso applied to it:
I then sprayed it with the ink colors - Summer Sky, Angel Pink, & Dandelion.
After it all dried I printed out the Scripture Psalm 126:2     I sprayed it with the Angel Pink color and then attached it.

Tulips

Made the card using Our Daily Bread Designs stamps.
I started by sponging purple ink all around the edges of my card.  Then layered a patterned paper from ODBD Blooming Garden Collection.   I stamped on ODBD stamp set Tulip Corner on the bottom right hand side.  I colored it in with CTMH markers.  I then used the Tulip Tag Set stamp set to make the tag - which I cut out and attached it to the left hand top corner, at an angle.  I colored those tulips exactly like the bigger tulips.  The Praise God stamp is from ODBD Blessings stamp set.
I added a purple & white stitched ribbon bow to the top of it...and then added purple glitter gems to the two opposite corners.

Prayers and Blessings for Your Home

Made this card for some friends who just moved into a new home.
For the base of my card I used a Dotted embossing folder on an off white cardstock...then layered it on to a black cardstock.   I used Our Daily Bread Designs stamps set Canning Jar Fillers and cut it our with the Canning Jars Die.  The "Prayers and Blessings for Your Home" is from the ODBD Bless This Home stamp set.   The covered lace topping on the jar is also from the Canning Jar Fillers stamp set.  The pattern for the jar top and also for the title is from the ODBD Heart & Soul Paper Collection.
I colored the strawberries and jar in with Promarkers.  Then added a strawberry patch to it.

This month is Our Daily Bread Designs 6th Anniversary...and the challenge is to use Metal or Something Sweet.  Strawberries are yummy sweet!

I went with the pre-colored image because I thought the colors went really good with the background that I wanted to use.   The "OH HAPPY DAY"  was also pre-colored.

Easter Blessings

Made this "Easter Blessings" card using a very light green cardstock for the base of my card.  I cut out the two different eggs using the CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge.  I really like these egg shapes in the Artiste Cartridge.  I added pink stick on pearls to the one egg and also the pink pearl for the center of the flower on the other egg.  I put a purple stitched ribbon on the green egg also.  I then cut out some very small oval shapes and put them together to make Jelly Beans.   I hand wrote the Easter Blessings on.
