She Art - She Is A Child Of God

I made this She Art girl on a Journal page, instead of on canvas.
The background is spread on using ink on baby wipes.  I then used foam stamps and bubble wrap & I also used a star pattern roller stamp.  The girl is made with paper, and her hair is painted on.

She Art - she is beautiful

This is week 3 Lesson
This is called "she is beautiful & genuine"
The background was made by layering newspaper on it, then painting over it.  Then I used stencils, stamps, bubble wrap and rub-ons.   The dress on the girl is blue jean material.

There are still more projects for all three lesson weeks that I still plan to work on.

This is a three week workshop.
I have enjoyed these girls for a long time, so happy that I finally signed up for it.

Take Me Deeper Journal for 2015

Starting in January 2015 I am doing a year long "Take Me Deeper" Journal through His Kingdom Come .     I used a book cover for both the front and back, and I am using manilla folders for my pages.

Here is the front cover I made:
Here is the back cover:
They are also doing Logos 365, which is choosing a word for the year.  After praying about it, I felt led from the Lord that I need to dig into and trust Him more in waiting.  So my word for 2015 is WAIT.   I put that word on the back cover.

So looking forward to digging deeper into God's Word in 2015!

I was asked to share pictures on the manilla folders I used, so hope this makes sense.
I used a regular size manilla folder...I cut it down to 9 inches in length, and 6 inches in width.  I used a paper cutter.  I cut it on the open side (the part where the tab is) so that the folded side is where I punched my holes...so I actually will get 4 sides to work on.
Here are a couple of pictures:

Hope this helps

Joy Christmas Card

Made this card using this months progressive free digi set from Imagine That...Digi's by Kris.
She supplies these adorable images when you play along in the previous months challenge.
This set is called "Joy"
I embossed my card with a snowflake pattern, then used the pre-colored image and the sentiment.  I sponged on red ink around the edges of the sentiment, attaching both with 3D foam squares.   I then cut up a plaid scrap of material & cut the edges on it to for a scarf.

I am entering this into:

I am also entering this into:
here is there Tic Tac Toe to follow
I used the diagonal pattern - Plaid, Embossing, An Animal

Create your own....

Made this on canvas.  I gessoed the background and then applied purple paint to it.
I used a Julie Nutting stamp...stamped on a newspaper pattern, then colored parts in with distress markers.  I attached a handmade ribbon flower to her hair.  I punched out several stars from patterned paper, then I used word labels - create your own, memories, friends, dreams, laughter, imagination, inspiration, hope & courage....within the stars.  I also added the words embark on adventure everyday to the lower right hand side.   I then attached two strings of stars with a brad.

I am entering this into:

Scrapping Everyday Miracles December Challenge

It's time for our December's Challenge at Scrapping Everyday Miracles.

The Scripture theme is:
Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Here is what I made for it:
I made a journal page.  I sponged on distressed ink for the background.  I used Dymo Labels for the words, the baby Jesus is a stamp, & the doves, Bible with scroll,  and stars are picture tubes from Paint Shop Pro.

Hope you will come over and join us for this month's challenge at Scrapping Everyday Miracles.
