Feeling Sketchy Challenge # 73

It's time for a new Challenge at Feeling Sketchy!

Here is the sketch:
The optional challenge this time is to include some bling.

Here is mine:

I am using this months sponsors image called Thoughtful.
I colored her in with Glitter Gel Pens - except for the skin, for that I used a Promarker.
For the base of my card I used a shimmering cardstock and embossed it with a flower pattern.
For the layers with the image and the words I used white cardstock and distressed the edges on both, then sponged on pinkish ink.
I added gem flowers to it, along with a gem up in the left top corner.

Our sponsor for November is San's Designs who is kindly offering 5 digital stamps to our winner.

Sunflowers & Sunflower Seeds

I have a friend who has a birthday coming up who loves sunflowers and sunflower seeds.
So I made this card and matching envelope for her.
I used light green cardstock...stamped on the sunflowers from Our Daily Bread Designs called Sunflowers - and I also stamped on a sunflower in the right side corner of the envelope.  This is the first envelope I have made, so I wasn't even sure how to make one.   I ended up taking a part an already made envelope and used that for my pattern.
I colored everything in with Promarkers...adding some green grass to the bottom of the card.
I used this weeks Scripture Word Art from Word Art Wednesday, which is Psalm 37:3
I added some sunflower seeds in to a little bag and added the words Sunflower Seeds, which I printed out on my computer....used 3D foam to attach it, along with the Scripture Verse (which I distressed the edges of.)

I am entering this in to three challenges:
1. Twist of Faith Challenge #61 - Postcard/Card And Envelope/Packet

2. Our Daily Bread Designs Challenge #176 - No Ribbons or Lace

3. Word Art Wednesday Challenge #104 - Anything Goes

No Bones About It...

Made this birthday card for some young twin boys.
I wanted it cute...but not girly looking at all.
The base of the card is sponged on with CTMH inkpad in the color Gypsy...and the frames and title pieces are CTMH cardstock in Buttercup.
I cut the frames out with my Cricut using the CTMH Artbooking Cartridge.
I typed the words up in Paint Shop Pro and printed it out on buttercup cardstock.
I then cut around the words and distressed the edges and sponged them with CTMH Buttercup Marker.

In memory of my Mom

As soon as I saw that this weeks challenge over at  Heart 2 Heart   was "Lace"....the first thing I thought of was my mom.   As far back as I can remember my mom always would sit and watch TV at night while crocheting her doilies - always white.   She made some wonderful lacy doilies through the years!
Such a fond memory of my mom :-)
I have many of her doilies around my house today.
(she passed away in 2001.)
So...I just had to make a doily card in memory of her.

This is a pretty plain card...nothing fancy.
Just a lace doily that I cut out with my CTMH Cricut Artbooking Cartridge
(White of course!)
I layered it on to patterned paper from the CTMH Chantilly paper pack.
Then I just hand wrote "In Memory of Mom" in the upper right corner - and then her name in the lower left hand corner.
This card will not be given out to anyone...I placed it on one of my living room end tables where one of her doilies is.

I used black cardstock...then sponged white ink over it all.

Halloween Sign using CTMH Artbooking Cartridge

Made this halloween sign to post outside on halloween for the little trick -or- treaters.
I used my CTMH Cricut Artbooking Cartridge (the "C" key)  to cut out all of the images....except for the Come On In Here title - that I used black cardstock and wrote with a chalk marker and then distressed the edges of it.
For the main base of this sign I used white cardstock and sponged orange ink on it.

Thanks For The Memories

When I saw the challenge this week at Heart 2 Heart was "Little Black Dress"....it reminded me of a dress I had made.  The material was basically black - but it did have some cream color in it also.
The papers in the CTMH "For Always" pack worked beautifully for what I wanted to do.
I found the template for the dress and the clutch at Mementoes In Time.
I used CTMH black distressed Ink around all the edges of the card....and also around the "Thanks For the Memories" tag (which I printed out.)
I added a cream color bow to the dress and little cream color pearls to the bow and also on the clutch.

The flower is an element form CTMH...and the apple is from the CTMH stamp set "Sweet Life"
And then I stamped on "Thinking of you at Thanksgiving.

Made this scrapbook page called "Autumn".
