Rise - Combi Challenge

Made this digi ATC card for the challenge at We-R-Soto's Forum
I used her products and part of the song lyrics.
The song is Rise by the McClain Sisters
Lyrics:
I used to be afraid of giving up
The road is just too tough
Out here on my own
My path was so alone
But now I see clearly
Everything within me
Is reaching up to the sky
I can see the world with open eyes
You can’t let it pass you
Just take hold and grasp it
Now’s the time to take a chance
With the strength of a thousand men
Climbing to my feet again
So dry those tears from your eyes
And everything will be alright
You know the rainbow’s just in sight
Dust your wings off as you rise
If your heart feels overwhelmed
Just know you’re never by yourself
Put your hand in mine, put your head up high
And together we’ll rise
Rise and lift your head up to the sky
And find yourself asking why?
Never seem out of life
With the hardships of life
But faith is where my heart is
That energy replaces my doubts
When my trials get the best of me
I’m marching forth towards my destiny
You can’t let it pass you
Just take hold and grasp it
Now’s the time to take a chance
With the strength of a thousand men
Climbing to my feet again
So dry those tears from your eyes
And everything will be alright
You know the rainbow’s just in sight
Dust your wings off as you rise
If your heart feels overwhelmed
Just know you’re never by yourself
Put your hand in mine, put your head up high
And together we’ll rise
Together we can do anything
We’ll rise
We can make it through anything
We’ll rise
Together we can do anything
We’ll rise, we’ll rise, we’ll rise
You can try to hurt me
Doubt me and desert me
I’ll feel the will of kings
With my mind I’ll plant a seed
And you know a tree will grow
And take me in
To safety’s arms
I will descend
So dry those tears from your eyes
And everything will be alright
You know the rainbow’s just in sight
Dust your wings off as you rise
If your heart feels overwhelmed
Just know you’re never by yourself
Put your hand in mine, put your head up high
And together we’ll rise
Together we can do anything
We’ll rise
We can make it through anything
We’ll rise
Together we can do anything
We’ll rise, we’ll rise, we’ll rise
Together we can do anything
We’ll rise
We can make it through anything
We’ll rise
Together we can do anything
We’ll rise, we’ll rise, we’ll rise

ATC card using Surf's Up papers

Made this ATC card using papers from the CTMH Surf's Up packet.
I didn't have much - just scraps, so I made it small :-)
It's suppose to be a shirt with tie, and a pocket that has a tissue in it.
(my Ponderosa Pine star looks black in the picture though)
I used a stencil to put the Hello on it.

I am entering it into the challenge at:
Color My Heart Color Dare - Challenge # 50

The challenge calls for the colors of:
Surf's Up Gold
Surf's Up Teal
Crystal Blue
Sorbet
Ponderosa Pine (optional)

ATC card

To make this ATC (Artist Trading Card) card....I started out by embossing it with clear embossing powder using the flower stamp from the A Flowering Bunch stamp set.
I then used Sponge Daubers and sponged on the Ink colors Cranberry, Indian Corn Blue & Cotton Candy.
I added Liquid Glass to the center of the main flower and also to the flower from the Stella Complements.
I punched out a couple of hearts, a star and a butterfly and attached them with foam dots to give them a little "pop" out.
I cut out the word Beautiful and glued that on.

Supplies Used:
CTMH Exclusive Inks Cranberry, Indian Corn Blue & Cotton Candy
CTMH Stella Complements
CTMH Liquid Glass
CTMH papers from the Dream Pop Paper Collection, the Chantilly Paper Collection & the For Always Paper Collection
Sponge Daubers
Punches

I am entering it into the Heart 2 Heart Challenge Mix & Mingle

The challenge is to use either at least three different paper packs and/or at least three different stamp sets.
I have used three different paper packs on my ATC card.
The star and the heart up in the left hand corner are papers from the Chantilly Paper pack.
The green star and the word Beautiful are papers from the Dream Pop Paper Pack.
The butterfly is paper from the For Always Paper Pack.

Artist Trading Cards (ATCs)

I have just discovered the art of  Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) - and have really become interested in them!
I have done some research on them to find out as much about them as I can :-)
And browsing websites looking at the different beautiful artwork......

Artist trading cards (or ATC's):
They are miniature works of art about the same size as modern trading cards or baseball cards.  They  are 212 by 312 inches in size _ small enough to fit inside standard card-collector pockets, sleeves or sheets.
Cards are produced in various media, including dry media (pencils, pens, markers, etc.), wet media (watercolor, acrylic paints, etc.), paper media (in the form of collage, papercuts, found objects, etc.) or even metals or fiber.  Any kind of materials.  The cards are usually traded or exchanged.

This is my first ATC that I made lastnight:
I made the background by using shaving cream and adding some drops of a couple of different ink refills to it, then swirling it all around.   I then distressed all the edges of the card....added a chipboard owl to it and used my Sizzix to cut out the letters "who".   I added some ric-rac trim to the top and bottom and then put on rhinestones.

In all my browsing I also found a challenge blog for ATCs.....called  ATC's With Attitude
I love doing challenges :-)

I am entering this into their Challenge # 43 - Bright & Cheerful

My first win ever in a challenge :-)

She has supplied us with this adorable Hedgehog Friends image for Challenge #10
I made the background using shaving cream and ink drops & swirling it around.
I cut out the edges with a craft scissors and added hearts and a ribbon...along with rhinestones in the center of the flowers.
I colored in the image with coloring pencils.  I used a rubber stamp with the Scripture Verse James 1:17

Am entering this into three challenges:
1. Imagine That Digi's by Kris Challenge # 10

2. Twist of Faith Challenge # 44 - Make Your Own Background

3. Word Art Wednesday Challenge # 87 - Anything Goes

My First Attempt at "Masking"

My very first attempt at using the "Mask" technique.
Didn't do the best :(      It is something that I will need to practice doing......
Did not do a very good job on adding the leaves and stems...messed that up.

I stamped my main flower on my card.  Then I stamped it again on a scrap piece of paper.  I cut that out and laid it over my main flower, then I stamped the flower again to the left side...and then again to the right side.
So it looks like the two side flowers are behind the front flower.

Supplies Used:
CTMH Topiary Exclusive Inks® Inkpad & Marker Set
CTMH Indian Corn Blue Exclusive Inks® Inkpad & Marker Set
CTMH Cotton Candy Exclusive Inks® Inkpad & Marker Set
CTMH Cranberry Exclusive Inks® Inkpad & Marker Set
CTMH A Flowering Bunch Stamp Set
