I am taking an online art class called Kingdom Come
It's a free 5 week series about the wonderful aspects of Christ Jesus, Praise and Worship, and His Church.
It will be taking a look at 5 themes and making art around those themes.
I just completed the Week 3 Lesson. Here is my project.
The lesson is called Anchor For My Soul.
Hebrews 6:19-20
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.
Colossians 2:6-7
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

The background is pages from an old book, then covered with a light coat of white paint. Then a light coat of blue paint on the top part of the page, and light brown on the bottom part of the page. The tree and anchor were hand drawn on and then painted in. The blossoms on the top part of the tree are also painted on. I then added stickers on it. I messed up on the top part of this, my blossoms were to dark so I tried to lighten them up with a light coat of white paint, which I think made it look worse.
Here is the Link for this series.
I did this lesson again on canvas

This is really wonderful. I LOVE it! One of my favourite scriptures and I love how you show the roots around the anchor with the words in the tree. Really great.
