Plaque for my Sewing/Craft Room Door

Made this hanging wall plaque for the door to my sewing & craft room.
It was a white porcelain plaque that I sponged with Distress Ink - color Tea Dye.
I used a Sherri Baldy "Bestie" digi stamp named "Lucy Lou" (which can be purchased at Scrapbook Stamp Society - http://scrapbookstampsociety.com/)
and then colored her in with Promarkers.
Then I added some crafting puffed stickers and one of my sewing labels and a little spool of tread....and the lettering.

Card Chaos

Feather and I took a Card Chaos class today at our local craft store...Crafts Direct.
We made 8 different cards.

Craft day with my daughter Feather

Feather and I spent the afternoon today making note cards.
We used digi stamps and colored in the designs.
We had such a fun afternoon :-)

You can't really see the glitter on the girl...but I used glitter gel pens to color her.

Rubber Stamps

I haven't did any rubber stamping for at least around 15 years now.   I have been kind of  itching to do some again.  So today I signed up for a "Card Chaos" class at Crafts Direct.  My daughter Feather will be taking the class with me also.    The class isn't until the 29th of  January though.
I decided to try my hand at doing some today...so I made a "play money savings envelope".

I made this woodburning project today.
It is a Trinket Box.
I used a digi stamp from Sherri Baldy - it's called "Fly Away Hearts".

Good day........

Went back to BSF today after a 3 week break.  Was so good to be back!

Also got a new computer monitor.
Went from a 15 inch wide screen to a 20 inch wide screen.
I love it!

Still Learning.......

Been spending the day trying to learn/figure out this blog.
But I am enjoying it.   Think I'm really going to like this.......

Hi, I'm Debbie.  I am brand new to blogging...........  
I have been married to my husband John for 26 years.  We have two adult children...our 24 year old son Major, and our 20 year old daughter Feather.   We also have our "added on" son Zakk  (Zakk is an artist, he drew our family picture.)  We have two cats (Princess and Persayis) and one dog (Lilly).   Zakk also has a cat, Mr. Kitty

My hobbies are sewing and doing crafts.  I like to make garments, but I also do alterations.  I like to do all kinds of crafts...but my two most favorite things to do are woodburning and creating tags and stats in Paint Shop Pro.
I attend a Women's Bible Study Fellowship (BSF).  This year we are studying the book of Genesis.   Awesome study!

My hubby John retired last May.  I can actually say I am enjoying it (needless to say though not as much as he is enjoying it..)    We became "empty nesters" last July.   That has been a real struggle for me.   Especially in the beginning.....but with time I am adjusting better.
